Pam’s an experienced web copywriter and sales catalyst who specializes in writing strategic marketing copy that turns prospects into qualified, eager sales leads and customers for her clients’ businesses.

Her diverse 31-year copywriting background includes pet companies, veterinary manufacturing companies, biotechnology, veterinary care, nonprofit, small business, direct response, supplemental education and much more. Pam shares C S’s lifelong passion for pets and animals of all types. Her family has included dogs and cats throughout her life, and her father and stepmother managed a farm in Maine where cats, goats, sheep, ducks, geese and even guinea hens resided at various times.

Some of Pam’s earlier animal memories include lambs running around the kitchen every spring, and frequent trips to Simpson’s Animal Farm to feed swans and enjoy the petting zoo. Her days of riding with her father and sister in the “Swan boat” are treasured memories. More recently, Pam enjoyed swimming with dolphins in the Florida Keys and she was thrilled to finally visit the San Diego Zoo in 2011.

During her time as a catalog copywriter at L.L. Bean, Pam was in charge of writing about the dog beds and other pet-related products. Just after that, from 2000 to 2006, she worked at the veterinary diagnostics company IDEXX Laboratories, This was where Pam became immersed in learning about animal care and helping veterinarians find diagnostic solutions that supported quicker answers and successful treatment. Pam worked side-by-side with veterinary practices and scientists to create materials that showcased the latest technologies for care.

In 2006, after several years of working in corporate America, Pam launched her freelance copywriting and consulting business and worked for a wide variety of companies. She also worked for The Pet Health Network, a startup organization that supplied an innovative touch-screen education technology to veterinarians, helping them explain medical procedures to pet owners.

In 2010, Pam turned her focus to pet and veterinary marketing, establishing PetCopywriter.com, and today she works with a growing number of animal-related businesses. Since then, she has devoted most of her efforts to helping companies that market to pet owners, pet companies, veterinary practices, horse owners and other animal-related audiences. She works as a virtual team member with web developers, graphic designers and others to launch websites, optimize existing sites, and help test email and landing page campaigns.

Pam currently lives in Eugene, Oregon, where she shares a home with her partner Doug, two cats (Spence and Jack), and her beloved Westie-Bichon mix named Louie. Their home is in the southwest hills, where deer, turkeys and other wildlife can be seen on a daily basis. Two of her nearby neighbors even have chickens! Pam also spends every winter in South Carolina, surrounded by glorious dolphins, pelicans and other wildlife.
